OUR HISTORY
Nineteen ninety-two marked the beginning of Faith In The Word Ministries International (formerly called Community Ministries Baptist Church ) in Griffin, Georgia . In December of that same year, the first Bible Study was held with only two members (Pastor and First Lady). The church has since begun to prosper and grow according to the Will of God.
Pastor Jerome Garland received his Certificate in Theology in 1994 from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Georgia . He and his wife, First Lady Machelle Garland, have been married over 20 years. First Lady who has a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Guidance and Counseling is involved in the Education Ministry of the school as well as conducts the weekly Women’s Bible Study. They have four children: Jeremy, Jonathan, Jessica and Isaac.
The church is presently a growing and thriving congregation where the Spirit of God moves in every service. We have established several Ministries and Programs that are designed to guide, encourage, and support believers.
