Georgia Pre-K Program |
CMLC is a participant in the Georgia Pre-K Program, which is an educational initiative funded by the Georgia Lottery for Education. The program provides Georgia resident children with high-quality preschool experiences to prepare them for Kindergarten . . . and life. The goals of the program are to promote growth in language and literacy, math concepts, science, arts, physical development, and personal and social competence. Pre-K programs are full day programs. The core instructional program is 6.5 hours each day, five days a week, 180 days a year. The daily activities and learning experiences help prepare the young children for school, by becoming independent, self-confident and enthusiastic learners. Each Pre-K classroom will have one lead teacher and one assistant teacher.
